Shown above are a range of the Kaiserlich Marine Officers buckles They range through 40mm , 50mm, and 60 mm ( there is rumoured to be a 65mm buckle but I have never seen one ) . The vast majority are actually cast metal but a very small number are stamped. When buying a Naval buckle always enquire of the seller the diameter of the buckle excluding the belt catch. I have been caught by surprise to receive a Kaiserlich Marine buckle which was a very small under the tunic type when I was expecting a large type !!! They all look very similar in close up in photographs . So make sure you ask for the buckles overall size before you buy.

With its gilded cast metal belt buckle wth anchor Reich crown etc, . Buckle is 40mm ( across ) type. Generally in Very good condition the white lining looks like gathered silk ?. A great deal of finish remaining to both the belt and buckle .The belt has a very slim waist @. approximately 27 inch ( 70 cm) waist. Belt appears to be possibly an ensigns' belt or a junior officers . Sadly no buckle keep or belt slides Therefore very very extra cheap …………….

Largest size, Sea service belt 60MM most frosting remaining, actually sparkles in the light. Heavy solid construction..Both keepers remaining, the buckle has a good patina with most gilt finish in really excellent condition. Super quality. This buckle has the very rare manufacturers mark to the rear clasp,,,, It looks like a clover leaf with what looks like the letters BMD within….,. Absolutely superb buckle in near pristine condition
